Around 70 enthusiastic design professionals, urban farmers, entrepreneurs, housing developers, government professionals, urban planners, place-makers, and researchers traveled from the UK, Canada and 11 U.S. states last week to attend the first ever Grow (IN)’ On visioning summit on building-integrated urban agriculture. It was a busy week of knowledge sharing, dreaming, strategizing, networking and plotting to transform American cities into resilient food production centers by harnessing the possibilities of building integration. The summit planning team walked away with a trove of great ideas that were identified in workshop discussion groups and will be synthesizing these in the coming weeks for future work.
