We are excited to have had the opportunity to speak during the Terminal 2 tour at Port of Portland, where industry leaders gathered to see the home of the Mass Timber and Housing Innovation Campus! The Institute for Health in the Build Environment (IHBE) will be taking part in research and development at this new regional hub for mass timber construction, in collaboration with the Tallwood Design Institute (TDI) and Oregon State University. Projected research at the new facility will include acoustic properties of mass timber assemblies, prototyping of mass timber housing modules and systems, and product prototyping for affordable housing.
