Acoustic Mushrooms: More Details Emerge On Kamman and Fretz’s Work From OregonNews

Charlotte Kamman, an architecture graduate, has been working on solving one challenge with mass timber housing: acoustics. To address wood’s resonant properties, Kamman has partnered with IHBE’s Mark Fretz to explore how mycelium can be used to reduce sound transmission between wood panels.
