The University of Oregon Biology and the Built Environment Center (BioBE Center) has conducted extensive research using Thermo Fisher Scientific’s AerosolSense air sampler.  AerosolSense is an active air sampler that pulls 200 L/minute of room air into the unit for impaction and capture of bioaerosols.  The capture media samples are then processed with molecular techniques to determine the presence or absence of target pathogens. The BioBE Center has just released two papers as preprint. Visit the bioaerosol testing page for the latest on these projects.
